Natalia Garriock is the first 10 and under member of the Duncan
Stingrays to qualify for provincials in the last three years.
Garriock, 10, made her mark during the Port Alberni all-level meet.
She achieved the provincial time standard in the 200-metre
individual medley, finishing second in 3:10.54. As a result,
Garriock will compete in the provincials during March.
Garriock, like her big sister Tamara, specializes in the
backstroke. She placed first in both the 50 back (39.30) and 100
back (1:25.95) at Port Alberni.
